Floating Preschool Teacher Aide

About the Role

We are looking for a warm, energetic, and dependable Floating Teacher Aide to support our early childhood classrooms. In this role, you will split your time between our 2/3-year-old classroom and our 4-year-old pre-K group, providing flexible support wherever it's needed most. Key Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in planning and carrying out daily activities, routines, and lessons
• Supervise and engage children during free play, circle time, meals, and transitions
• Support individual children with social-emotional development, self-help skills, and classroom expectations
• Adapt communication and expectations appropriately for 2/3-year-olds versus 4-year-olds
• Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment
• Help with diapering, toileting, and hygiene routines as needed (primarily in the 2/3s room)
• Communicate effectively with lead teachers and director regarding child observations or concerns
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children and families

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education coursework preferred
• Prior experience working with toddlers and/or preschool-aged children strongly preferred
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role (bending, lifting up to 40 lbs, sitting on the floor, moving throughout the day)
• Patience, flexibility, and a genuine love of working with young children
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Must be able to pass a background check and meet state licensing requirements
