7:00am-3:00pm, + every other weekend

We are currently seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and dedicated Floor Care Technician (Janitorial) to help maintain a clean, healthy, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and deep cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and polishing.
  • Maintain carpets through vacuuming, spot cleaning, shampooing, and extraction as needed.
  • Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, extractors, and auto scrubbers.
  • Follow proper safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Ensure hallways, dining areas, resident rooms, and common areas meet cleanliness and infection control standards.
  • Assist housekeeping staff with general cleaning tasks as needed.
  • Monitor and report any floor damage, safety hazards, or necessary repairs to the supervisor.
  • Maintain inventory of floor care supplies and request replacements when necessary.
  • Adhere to all facility policies, health and safety guidelines, and state and federal regulations.
  • Clean and sanitize public bathrooms, common areas, rehab gym, and offices.
  • Dust, vacuum, mop, and polish furniture and fixtures as needed.
  • Remove trash and replace liners.
  • Restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
  • Report any maintenance concerns or safety hazards to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in floor care or environmental services, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of floor care techniques, equipment, and proper use of cleaning chemicals preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and operate heavy cleaning equipment for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
