Overview:
Position Summary
The Environmental Services Floor Finisher performs the major cleaning and refinishing functions in accordance with the standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Will use cleaning devices including automatic floor equipment, 20' roto, commercial vacuums, 24 oz. wet mops, wringers and other necessary equipment, tools and supplies.
- Cleans and services building areas according to established procedures.
- Moves furniture and supplies within the hospital and performs a variety of Environmental Services duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly and sanitary conditions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- A floor finisher should have some skills and mechanical aptitude in order to detect equipment malfunctions for safety to self and others.
- The floor finisher will be expected to complete the department's training program that will provide the tools to meet the minimum requirements of the job by the completion of the probationary period.
