About the Role:
ServiceMaster Professional Building Maintenance is looking for a dependable and hardworking Floor Maintenance Technician to join our team in Joppa, MD. Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage time and meet customer deadlines
• Perform routine and deep cleaning of hard surface floors, including sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing
• Operate floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, auto-scrubbers, and extractors
• Strip, wax, and refinish hard floors to maintain a polished, professional appearance
• Clean and maintain carpeted areas through vacuuming and carpet extraction techniques
• Identify and report floor damage, safety hazards, or maintenance needs to supervisors
• Follow proper product handling and safety procedures in compliance with OSHA standards
• Maintain and clean all floor care equipment after use
• Responsible for general work vehicle maintenance, including fueling and restocking

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation mandatory
• Prior experience in floor care, janitorial services, or building maintenance preferred
• Familiarity with floor care equipment including buffers, burnishers, and auto-scrubbers
• Knowledge of floor stripping and refinishing techniques
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
