Del Sol Solutions - Urgent Hiring for a Highly Skilled Floor Tech

Position Overview

Del Sol Solutions is seeking a dependable and skilled Floor Technician to join our team in the Austin area. This position is responsible for performing high-quality hard floor care and periodic carpet maintenance services at commercial facilities. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, can operate professional-grade equipment safely, and consistently delivers results that meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Strip and wax/refinish VCT, vinyl, tile, and other hard surface flooring using industry-standard techniques and products
• Apply finish coats evenly and maintain appropriate cure times to ensure a high-gloss, durable result
• Perform routine floor scrubbing, buffing, and burnishing to maintain finish appearance between full strip-and-wax cycles
• Operate carpet extraction equipment for scheduled quarterly deep-cleaning services
• Identify flooring types and select appropriate chemicals, dilution ratios, and methods accordingly
• Properly set up, operate, maintain, and store all floor care equipment
• Follow all safety protocols, including wet floor signage, chemical handling, and PPE usage
• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding job status, supply needs, and any site concerns

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of commercial floor care experience (strip/wax and carpet extraction preferred)
• Ability to identify and work safely with multiple flooring types including VCT, LVT, ceramic tile, and carpet
• Experience operating auto scrubbers, high-speed burnishers, low-speed buffers, and carpet extractors
• Familiarity with floor care chemicals and proper dilution/application procedures
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively on-site
• Reliable transportation to job sites in the Austin metro area
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
• Valid driver's license preferred
