FLOOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME)

We have an opening for full-time FLOOR TECHNICIAN positions.

Location: Laitram - 200 Plantation Road, New Orleans, LA 70123. Note: Online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time schedule. Days may vary from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. Further details will be provided upon interview.

Requirement: Previous 1 to 2 years of floor care maintenance experience preferred. Operating basic floor cleaning machinery experience is preferred.

Fixed Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care, including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning of large areas of floor surfaces.
• Uses the proper procedures on carpet and upholstering, including shampooing, damp surface extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 lbs.
