Floor technician

Full Time  Mon-Friday 7:45am -4:15pm

Floor Tech will maintain floors throughout facility. Maintenance includes hard floor care and carpet care. To provide Housekeeping services in accordance with established policies and procedures as directed by Housekeeping Manager.

Educational, Physical, and Other Requirements:

• Must pass Level 2 background screening through the Florida Clearinghouse (Learn more: https://info.flclearinghouse.com)

• Routinely lift/carry up to 25lbs, occasionally must lift/carry up to 50+ lbs
• For the safety and security of our residents and patients, employees must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English, which is the most universally used language of our resident and employee population.

Customer/Guest Relations & Communications:

• Must maintain a professional, respectful, friendly demeanor with all residents, family members, guests, and staff at all times.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

• Provides floor care by way of mopping, refinishing hard floors, bonnet and extraction carpet cleaning.
• Works mainly in all public areas but may be required to handle emergency clean ups if needed.
• Must put wet floor signs out prior to doing hard floor work.  
• Uses cleaning products according to label and as instructed.
• Reports any maintenance work orders to Housekeeping Manager.
• Responsible for assigned keys and their return at end of shift.
• Maintains equipment, reports any required repairs.
