Looking for a part-time role in a beautiful, creative environment with a consistent schedule?
Bedford Village Flower Shoppe is seeking a friendly, reliable, and outgoing team member to help customers celebrate life's special moments through flowers and gifts. This role combines customer service, retail sales, visual merchandising, and social media content creation in one of Westchester County's premier floral and gift boutiques.
If you enjoy working with people, have an eye for beauty, and love creating engaging content for Instagram and Facebook, we'd love to meet you.
Schedule
- Alternating weekly schedule:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Week 2: Monday & Tuesday, 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM, and Saturday, 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Approximately 20–24 hours per week
- Additional hours are required during holidays and peak floral seasons, including Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas, and other busy periods
- Applicants must be available to work Saturdays and holidays as needed
What You'll Do
Customer Service & Sales
- Welcome and assist customers in-store, by phone, and online
- Help customers select flowers, plants, gifts, and seasonal products
- Process orders and transactions accurately
- Build relationships with customers and provide exceptional service
- Assist with holiday sales periods and special events
- Help ensure every customer leaves feeling valued and appreciated
Visual Merchandising
- Maintain a beautiful, organized, and inviting retail environment
- Assist with merchandising displays and seasonal shop updates
- Restock merchandise and assist with inventory management
- Help ensure flowers, plants, and gifts are presented to our premium standards
Social Media & Marketing Support
- Capture photos and videos of floral arrangements, gifts, and shop displays
- Assist with Instagram Stories, Reels, Facebook posts, and other social media content
- Help showcase new arrivals, seasonal collections, weddings, workshops, and events
- Contribute creative ideas for promotions, community engagement, and marketing campaigns
- Help maintain the visual standards that make our shop worthy of sharing online
What We're Looking For
- Friendly, professional, and dependable
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable using Instagram and Facebook
- Comfortable taking photos and short videos using a smartphone
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Retail, hospitality, customer service, or social media experience preferred
- Interest in flowers, design, photography, marketing, or content creation is a plus
- Available to work Saturdays and holidays
