Survey Lead
Location: Gainesville, FL

Impact Recruitment is seeking an experienced Survey Lead to support a highly respected engineering firm in Gainesville, Florida.

This leadership position will oversee survey operations and provide direction to technical staff conducting land surveys and preparing survey documents and deliverables. The Survey Lead will be responsible for the department’s overall success, including building and managing a strong team, developing client relationships, winning new work, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build, lead, and develop a successful survey team
• Establish and maintain strong client relationships
• Pursue new work and support business development efforts
• Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and production expectations
• Coordinate and oversee outside survey subcontractors
• Ensure internal and external client requests are addressed promptly
• Develop project fees and prepare and review proposals
• Implement QA/QC procedures for final survey deliverables
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and regulations

What You’ll Need

• Active Florida Professional Land Surveyor license
• 8–10 years of FDOT surveying experience
• Interest in and ability to obtain licensure in additional states
• Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Sound judgment and decision-making abilities
• Strong organizational and complex problem-solving skills
• A safety-focused mindset
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle record
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening in accordance with applicable federal guidelines
• High school diploma or equivalent required
