Job Description:

Sign On Bonus: $10,000 for eligible candidates

Relocation Bonus: $3,000 for eligible candidates

Schedule: 14:30-23:00, Rotating weekends and holidays

Location: 2855 N Orange Ave., Orlando, FL 32804

Utilizes a high degree of theoretical and practical knowledge and expertise. Conducts highly complex analysis and testing procedures. Ensures accuracy and efficiency in all tests and analytical procedures. Adheres to established procedures, performance standards, and departmental competency standards. Participates in proficiency testing, consistently adhering to federal and state regulations as well as institutional policies. Serves as a resource for addressing complex tests and procedures. Reads, examines, and interprets complex test results. Provides technical and support information related to laboratory testing for all age groups, from neonatal to geriatric patients. Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Advanced technical skills and aptitudes related to the laboratory testing, procedures and processes performed in department or work area assigned [Required]
• Follows and ensures adherence of staff, to the Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies; protects confidentiality of patient information and results at all times [Required]
• Ability to work independently and adapt to varying priorities, including directing workflow with minimal supervision [Required]
• Ability to maintain equipment/records and perform quality assessment activities [Required]
• Ability to educate and train new staff in medical laboratory settings [Required]
• Able to effectively communicate in verbal and written English with patients, staff, partners and customers of varied backgrounds in a respectful, effective, and professional manner [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office. Ability to operate computer systems in order to maintain patient documentation, testing records, and other related documents [Required]

Education:
• Bachelor's [Required]

Field of Study:
• Chemical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology, or related field

Work Experience:
• 5+ technical experience in specialty area [Preferred]

Additional Information:
• Specialist certification (in Hematology, Microbiology, Cytometry, Cytology, Microbiology, etc) from a national certifying organization [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:
• Medical Lab Scientist (MLSAMT) [Required] OR
• Medical Technologist (MTAAB) [Required] OR
• Medical Laboratory Scientist MLS (ASCP) [Required]
• Clinical Laboratory Supervisor (SU) [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$28.68 - $53.35
