Position: Fluids Systems Engineer

Location: Palmdale, CA

About the Role

Position will primarily focus on aircraft fuel systems, and the other on hydraulic systems. Candidates with experience across both disciplines are highly encouraged to apply.

This is a part-time contract role (minimum 20 hours per week) with the potential to increase to full-time hours during peak program activity.

Responsibilities

Support the design, analysis, integration, and troubleshooting of aircraft fuel and/or hydraulic systems

Provide hands-on engineering support during ground test and flight test activities

Review, analyze, and help resolve system anomalies

Participate in real-time test operations as required

Collaborate with integrated test teams across multiple disciplines and locations

Support test planning, execution, and post-test evaluations

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field

5+ years of direct experience with aircraft fuel systems, hydraulic systems, or both

5+ years of experience working with fluid system components, schematics, and test procedures

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and system documentation

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a flight test environment, test laboratory, or flight test control room

Experience supporting military, experimental, or advanced aircraft programs

Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills

Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, test-driven environments
