Job Description
The Flux Core Welder will play a key role in manufacturing welding projects, utilizing Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) techniques to produce precise and durable welds. Working as part of a small team, this position requires strict adherence to OSHA standards and industry-specific safety protocols to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. The role involves interpreting blueprints, maintaining equipment, and performing weld testing while handling materials and setting up work areas with standard welding machines and cutting/grinding tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding operations using Flux Core Arc Welding methods
- Ensure safety compliance according to OSHA standards and industry regulations
- Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment and tools
- Interpret blueprints to determine welding specifications and project requirements
- Handle and prepare materials for welding tasks
- Conduct weld testing to verify quality and strength
- Set up and organize the work area for efficient welding processes
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of welding experience
- Technical certification in welding
- Proficiency in Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW)
- Skilled in blueprint reading
- Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance
- Experience in metal fabrication
