Flying Probe Test Technician Job Summary

The Flying Probe Test Technician will develop and support test solutions for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). This role is critical in ensuring the quality and manufacturing efficiency by creating effective test programs, improving yields and supporting production operations in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Test Program Development: • Develop, validate and maintain Flying Probe test programs for production and new product introductions (NPI) • Generate test programs from CAD data and debug using schematics and documentation • Optimize test coverage, accuracy and throughput

Yield Improvement: • Review test data and yields to identify trends and recurring defects • Lead root cause analysis for test escapes, false fails and No Defect Found (NDF) conditions • Improve test strategies to reduce retesting and increase first-pass yield

Equipment Maintenance and Support: • Perform routine and preventative maintenance, calibration, and minor repairs of Flying Probe test systems • Provide immediate technical support and troubleshooting to production technicians and operators to minimize equipment downtime

Cross-Functional Collaboration: • Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Design teams to resolve assembly defects and systemic product quality issues • Train technicians and operators on new test procedures, equipment operation, and troubleshooting techniques

Required Qualifications: Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field 1-3 years of electronic manufacturing test or related experience Experience with Flying Probe test development
