A Food and Nutrition hospitality representative in our Food and Nutrition Services department may perform assigned duties in one or more of the following areas: Cafeteria Server, Catering, Cold Production, Porter, Tray line Support, Late Tray Delivery, Storeroom Clerk and/or Floor Stock Attendant. All FANS team members adhere to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures. The hospital dining schedule features hours and shifts that create a great work- life balance. Your food service experience and commitment to service, safety and professionalism will contribute to a positive experience for our patients, visitors, and colleagues.
What You Will Do In This Role
· You will accurately and efficiently assemble and portion meals for various populations across the lifespan.
· You will maintain and update menus prior to each meal time.
· You will visit patients as directed to take food orders and deliver meals.
· You will interpret food preferences and contact dietitians as needed.
· You will receive, store and maintain food and office supplies in an orderly and sanitary manner.
· You will complete all other duties as assigned.
What qualifications you will need:
· Hospital food service experience desired, but not required.
· Candidates currently pursuing a degree in nutrition or dietetics are encouraged to apply.
· Food Handlers Permit, or ServSafe Food Protection Manager must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
