Baystate Health is seeking a Follow Up Nurse to join our Emergency Department at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield, Massachusetts. Our Emergency Department has diverse pathologies and acuity as we serve over 122,000 adult and pediatric patients annually. Our 72,000 square foot ED is equipped with 94 private rooms, separate pediatric ED, separate behavioral health rooms and top-of-the-line technology. BMC is a major referral care center and the only Level 1 trauma center and pediatric trauma center in the area. 

The Registered Nurse role offers the opportunity for meaningful impact while supporting patients, serving the community and collaborating with a specialized team.

The Follow Up Nurse Will: 

• The Follow-Up Nurse will report directly to the Director of Emergency Services with a collaborative relationship with the Emergency Department Supervisors and will be responsible for the clinical follow-up, high risk contact and customer service component for those patients seen in the Emergency Department who meet the criteria for the Follow-Up Program.

Required Qualifications

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.

• Education: ADN required; BSN preferred. 

• 5 years of nursing experience within the Emergency Department

Compensation

Note: The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

$39.93 - $45.90 - $54.29
