Description

Seeking a hands-on Beverage Formulator to support product development and innovation across beverage applications. The ideal candidate will have a Food Science background, experience conducting benchtop formulations and experiments, and a passion for R&D in a fast-paced startup environment.

My client is a NYC based food and beverage consulting firm that helps scale existing and emerging CPG brands.

Description

  • Develop and test new beverage formulations to meet project specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product development processes.
  • Maintain detailed records of formulations and testing results.
  • Source and evaluate raw materials for use in formulations.
  • Provide technical support for production scale-up and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure product consistency and quality throughout the development cycle.
  • Stay updated on trends and advancements in beverage formulation techniques.

Profile

A successful candidate should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or related field
  • Master's degree is preferred but not required
  • Experience conducting benchtop trials, experiments, and testing variables
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of laboratory best practices and bench-top etiquette
  • Passion for product development, experimentation, and innovation
  • Comfortable working independently with a high degree of autonomy
  • Startup mentality with a willingness to be hands-on and wear multiple hats
