Food and Beverage Supervisor

About the role

Recess Hotel & Club is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our Food & Beverage leadership team and support the daily operations of our restaurants, bars, and event spaces. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional looking to advance their leadership career while gaining experience in a dynamic luxury hotel environment.

The Food & Beverage Supervisor will assist in leading daily service operations, supporting team development, maintaining service standards, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences across all Food & Beverage outlets. This position works closely with managers and frontline team members to drive operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and team engagement.

What you'll do

• Supervise day-to-day service operations across assigned food and beverage outlets
• Lead by example on the floor, providing active support during service periods
• Ensure service standards, brand expectations, and safety guidelines are consistently met
• Support staffing needs, including shift coverage, break compliance, and schedule adherence
• Coach and develop team members through real-time feedback and ongoing training
• Assist with onboarding and training of new hires
• Address guest concerns professionally and resolve service issues in the moment
• Partner with managers on service execution, menu knowledge, and operational flow
• Monitor cleanliness, organization, and overall readiness of service areas
• Support inventory controls, opening/closing procedures, and cash handling as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food and beverage or hospitality leadership preferred
• Strong service mindset with a genuine interest in guest experience
• Confident communicator who leads with clarity, warmth, and accountability
• Working knowledge of POS systems and basic cash handling
• Strong guest service instincts and the confidence to lead from the floor
• Positive, approachable leadership style with the ability to coach and motivate others
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain composed and engaged in a fast-paced service environment
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and take on increasing responsibility
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
