Job Summary and Qualifications

Under supervision, washes pots and dishes, manually or by machine, removes trash to compactor, delivers and cleans items to proper areas for storage, sweeps and mops floors, does assigned cleaning. Assemble patient trays, deliver carts, and return carts to kitchen after meals, and assists with food production.

POPULATION SERVED: Core competencies will be assessed primarily on the following patient populations served:

Cardiac/cardiovascular, neuron, GI conditions and diseases including but not limited to: CAD, PVD, COPD, CHF, metabolic disorders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  •  Wash pots and dishes manually or with machine.
  •  Removes trash from kitchen and cafeteria areas to trash compactor.
  •  Delivers clean items to proper areas for storage.
  •  Sweeps and mops floor with soap and hot water including under tables and refrigerators/freezers.
  •  Does assigned cleaning daily.
  •  Helps assemble and deliver patient trays.
  •  Delivers large carts and trays to the units.
  •  Returns large carts and trays to the units.
  •  Assists with food production.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Food Handlers/Safety must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
