Summary:

  • The Catering Services Coordinator is responsible for executing all catering events. This position is responsible for planning events of various sizes. In addition, this position also coordinates all billing and communicating details of each event in accordance with standard catering protocols. This position requires the incumbent to have flexible working hours including evenings and weekends based on operational and catering needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and guide every catering request into a successful event from start to finish inclusive of month end revenue and expense reports. Book all meeting space for any internal or external event utilizing existing software program. Coordinate with AV department to ensure requested needs are communicated, timely and accurate.

Ability to use Microsoft Office and similar programs specific to meeting room planning.

Assist Clinical Diet Office by following up on patient concerns, requests and menu selections not received. The position will be required to visit patients daily, checking on their satisfaction and independently doing Service Recovery as needed.

Tracks quarterly quality indicators as directed ensuring completion

offers ongoing opportunities for improvements to stakeholders and gives annual presentation at QI meeting.

Incorporates voice of the customer feedback in planning, implementing and monitoring department initiatives

Assists with the onboarding of all new hires in FNS inclusive of training, AME's, hard copy personnel files and completion of new hire checklist

supports FNS employees in maintaining compliance with Knowledge Link, flu shots, new training throughout the year.

Maintains Food and Nutrition Bulletin Boards to ensure they are up to date and accurate.

Assists Director of Food and Nutrition, Manager of Retail Operations, Executive Chef, and Clinical Nutrition Manager in their day to day operations as needed.

Credentials:

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Education Specialization: Equivalent Experience: •2+ years retail and/or institutional food service experience
