Job SummaryThe Karol Hotel is a boutique hotel located in the Feather Sound area of Clearwater, FL, convenient to the beaches, St Pete, and Tampa. The Karol features 123 rooms and suites, and features Katch Restaurant and Vantage Rooftop Bar, along with ballrooms and conference rooms to host events. The Karol Hotel is part of Marriott's Tribute Portfolio.The Food & Beverage Manager will be responsible for the overall operation, guest experience, and profitability of The Karol Hotel's food and beverage (F&B) outlets – Katch Bistro, Vantage Rooftop Bar, and K Club Bar. The F&B Manager directly supervises and leads the team of approximately 20 employees.The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality leader with a strong food and beverage leadership background who can create memorable guest experiences while driving revenue and maintaining high service standards.Essential FunctionsSupervises daily Food and Beverage (F&B) shift operation and monitors compliance with all F&B policies, standards, and proceduresLead, coach, and develop direct reports including assistant managers, supervisors, and shift leadersRecruit, interview, hire, and onboard new F&B team membersSupervise staffing levels and create weekly staff schedules to verify that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are metEncourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperations among team membersEstablish and maintain service standards and operating procedures for all F&B outletsEnsure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and hotel policies and regulationsTake ownership of F&B revenue performance and develop strategies to achieve and exceed budgeted revenue targetsMonitor food cost, beverage cost, labor cost, inventory, purchasing, and operating expensesWork with the Sales and Kitchen teams to develop compelling menus, specials, packages, and experiencesDevelop partnerships, collaborations, pop-ups, tastings, live entertainment, and special events that generate incremental revenueBe highly visible and engaged with guests, actively soliciting feedback and addressing concerns in a timely and professional mannerEnsure successful performance serving guests with an exceptional experience to ensure high performing scores on Marriott's Guest Satisfaction SurveyQualification StandardsEducation & Experience5+ years restaurant management/leadership experienceHotel experience preferredHigh School diploma or higherStrong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated experience managing revenue, labor, food and beverage costs, and departmental budgetsExcellent guest service and relationship-building skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environmentAbility to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPhysical and Mental DemandsAbility to sit or stand for extended periods of timeAbility to communicate clearlyWork on multiple tasks, making appropriate progress towards deadlinesAble to work independently, take direction, and provide direction to othersManage differing personalities within the office, the hotel, and the communityWhat's In It For You?Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance *Paid Time Off *401(k) Plan + Company MatchDiscounted Employee MealsMarriott Hotel discounts worldwideCareer Growth – We promote from within!* For full time employees
