Location: Gresham Outpatient - 355 NW Division St, Gresham OR, 97030

Schedule: Full time, Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm (2 days in office, 3 days delivery driving)

Wage Range: $21.00 - $25.20 Hourly, Non-Exempt

Position Overview:

The Food Box Delivery Coordinator assists with food pantry operations, deliveries, inventory management, and housing program referrals. This position serves as a key liaison between the Food Pantry and HUD Housing Program, ensuring clients receive timely food assistance and related support services. Maintains client records, communicates with the Food Pantry and Housing departments, schedules deliveries and creates delivery routes, and safely transports food throughout the Portland metropolitan area.

What you will do:

• Coordinate food pantry services, including:

• preparing food orders

• maintaining inventory

• stocking shelves

• ensuring food safety standards are followed

• completing local deliveries to NARA clients

• Communicate with Housing Program staff regarding client referrals, service requests, and delivery needs.

• Schedule and complete food deliveries for clients throughout the Portland metropolitan area, including residences, housing sites, and NARA NW locations.

• Develop and manage efficient delivery routes using mapping and navigation tools

• Operate agency vehicles, including box truck and refrigerated vans

• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.

• Maintain client records and update required documentation via computer and email.

• Liaison with Food Pantry and Housing leadership and staff about operational needs.

• Ensure compliance with food handling requirements, organizational policies, confidentiality standards, HIPAA, and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations.

• Assess client needs and refer them to additional community resources

• Represent NARA NW positively in the community through outreach activities, client interactions, and partnerships with community organizations.

We would like to hear from people that have:

• Oregon Food Handler Card, or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact respectfully with clients, staff, and community partners.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to drive for extended periods multiple days per week.
• Valid driver's license, current auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• Must pass a pre-employment or for cause drug tests.
• Must pass criminal background and DMV checks.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience operating delivery vehicles or coordinating delivery routes
• Experience in customer service, food service, food distribution, social services, community outreach, or related
• Experience working with vulnerable or houseless populations
• Experience working within the Native American/Alaska Native community
