Temporary Receiving & Food Delivery Coordinator (6-Month Assignment)
Job Overview
The Temporary Receiving & Food Delivery Coordinator is responsible for receiving, documenting, organizing, and distributing third-party food and grocery deliveries for residents. This position serves as the central point of contact for deliveries from services such as Uber Eats, DoorDash, Postmates, Instacart, Gopuff, and similar vendors.
This role does not deliver orders to residential units. Instead, the Coordinator receives incoming deliveries at the Receiving area, accurately logs each order into the designated tracking system, stores deliveries in an organized manner, and releases them to the appropriate resident upon pickup while providing courteous customer service.
This is a temporary position expected to last approximately six (6) months.
Essential Responsibilities
- Receive food and grocery deliveries from third-party delivery drivers.
- Verify resident information and confirm deliveries are addressed correctly.
- Accurately log all deliveries into the Association's designated tracking system.
- Organize and stage deliveries in the designated pickup area.
- Notify residents, when applicable, that their delivery has arrived.
- Verify resident identity before releasing deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of all received and released deliveries.
- Monitor the Receiving area to ensure deliveries remain organized and secure.
- Communicate professionally with residents, delivery drivers, and management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional Receiving area.
- Report delivery discrepancies, damaged items, or abandoned deliveries to management.
- Follow all Association policies, security procedures, and safety protocols.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Previous experience in receiving, concierge, hospitality, package handling, or administrative support is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn delivery tracking software.
- Ability to maintain accuracy while handling a high volume of deliveries.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, and occasionally climb stairs.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to heat, rain, and other weather conditions.
- Ability to respond promptly during busy delivery periods.
Schedule
Monday– Friday
11:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
(Schedule and hours may vary based on operational needs.)
Employment Status
Temporary Part-Time Position (Approximately Six Months)
Compensation
$18.00 per hour
Benefits
As a part-time temporary associate, you will not be eligible for supplemental benefits, including dental and vision coverage, in accordance with Company policy.
