Food Expeditor/Expo

PAY RANGE: $17.87-$22 per hour + tipout

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Expo is the director of the kitchen pass. The person who ensures every plate looks great, every ticket runs on time, and the communication between the front and back of house stays sharp. This position requires attention to detail and a seasoned ability to stay cool and organized while keeping things moving with urgency and clarity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the food pass, coordinating flow between the kitchen and front-of-house
  
• Check every plate for accuracy, presentation, and quality before it hits the floor
  
• Prioritize and organize tickets to ensure timely service
  
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and FOH staff to avoid delays or mistakes
  
• Help coordinate large orders and pacing of course delivery
  
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the expo station
  
• Troubleshoot issues quickly and calmly under pressure
  

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Strong leadership, and communication skills
  
• Ability to multitask and maintain a positive attitude in a high-pressure environment
  
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  
• Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
  
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
  
• 2+ years previous expo or leadership experience in a full service restaurant setting required.
