Overview

\n

The Food Compliance Specialist ensures all food and healthcare products meet FDA, FTC, and corporate regulatory requirements. This role focuses on labeling accuracy, claims compliance, technical documentation, and regulatory support across multiple product lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Label Compliance — Review and approve product labels, ingredient statements, nutrition facts, allergen declarations, and case coding.
• \n
• Claims Review — Evaluate nutrition and healthcare claims, substantiate with scientific evidence, and guide teams on compliant language.
• \n
• Technical Documentation — Prepare specifications, nutritional data, GMO/gluten statements, and export certificates.
• \n
• Product Setup — Manage label setup, internal specification documentation, and customer database setup for new product commercialization.
• \n
• Formula Management — Oversee formula entry and formula change processes.
• \n
• Export Compliance — Lead regulatory export documentation including Certificates of Free Sale, Health Certificates, and Declarations.
• \n
• Regulatory Monitoring — Track regulatory changes and assess risks to claims, labels, and communications.
• \n
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration — Partner with R&D, QA, Marketing, Sales, and serve as a technical liaison with external organizations.
• \n
• Support large documentation projects and customer‑specific software programs.
• \n
• Provide backup support to the Regulatory Manager as needed.
• \n

Qualifications

\n

• \n
• B.S. in Food/Nutritional Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field (experience may substitute).
• \n
• 2–7 years of regulatory, labeling, or claims experience in food manufacturing.
• \n
• Strong regulatory technical knowledge and experience with healthcare or nutrition product claims.
• \n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• \n
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment with high accuracy.
• \n
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• \n
• Computer literate and highly organized.
• \n
