    Schedule
    Workdays: Monday to Friday, including some mandatory Saturdays
    Available Shifts: 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM & 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM
    Job Summary
    The QA Technicians will be key contributors to the success of the Company. This position will be instrumental in seeing that Goodheart maintains Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and addresses quality issues that arise from our clients.
    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
    ·       Develop and facilitate internal audits to determine/assess compliance to company policy and regulatory requirements.
    ·       Lead development and implementation of plant GMP, Hygiene and Sanitation programs.
    ·       Help QA Director address customer complaints with root cause analysis as necessary.
    ·       Ensure effective food safety and quality training for plant team members and quality assurance staff.
    ·       Advise the Plant Management Team on quality trends within the process and recommend appropriate corrective action.
    ·       Facilitate the development of analytical methods and sampling procedures as required.
    ·       Advise the Plant Management Team on matters of quality, process instruction, formulas, specifications and protocol requirements as may be required to promote high product quality standard.
    ·       Reliable transportation to / from work.
    ·       Excellent attendance
    ·       Additional duties as assigned.
    Education and Experience
    ·       At least one year in manufacturing facility (prefer poultry, beef, pork industries, but will consider other food-related industries) quality control and/or assurance experience preferred.
    ·       Quality Systems experience is preferred.
    Skills and Abilities
    ·       Has worked in a manufacturing environment to identify and ensure progress on continuous improvement initiatives.
    ·       Solid systems understanding and ability to identify quality improvements needed.
    ·       Able to effectively interface within all levels of the organization.
    ·       Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Apple/Mac experience and/or demonstrated ability to learn preferred.
    ·       Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and workload effectively.
    ·       Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
    ·       Team player with a positive, helpful attitude.
    ·       Must be able to work in a facility that processes food allergens.
     
    Working Environment and Physical Demands
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee will be exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.     * Sign-on bonus is paid after 90 days and is subject to GoodHeart's attendance policy. Eligible for new hires only, rehires are not eligible.
