Job Description: Develop new machine learning models, improve existing ones, and collaborate with other data scientists and data engineers to bring innovative solutions to market. Assist with company strategy for improving existing machine learning systems. Create and implement strategies to source and utilize short-term rental training data at scale. Create systems to continuously monitor and improve model performance. Provide input on how to holistically improve the accuracy and usefulness of company data. Utilize Python; linear algebra, mathematical models and real world uses for them; machine learning (
developing models in python with modern machine learning systems such as Scikit-learn, XGBoost or OpenCV, and ML engineering, cloud-based deployment and model lifecycle management); Natural Language Processing tools and libraries (NLTK, PyNPLI and OpenNLP); Computer Vision and image processing; deep learning models in Python using Keras and Tensorflow; SQL; Pandas; Numpy; Matplotlib; Gitlab; AWS; and other tools, skills, technologies, and standards in carrying out assigned duties.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education Requirements:
MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Mathematics
Experience Requirement:
2 years' experience developing models in Python with modern machine learning systems (as a Data Scientist, Research Assistant or related occupation).
Other Special Skills or Requirements:
Functional expertise (2 years' work experience) with Python; linear algebra, mathematical models and real world uses for them; machine learning (
developing models in python with modern machine learning systems such as Scikit-learn, XGBoost or OpenCV, and ML engineering, cloud-based deployment and model lifecycle management); Natural Language Processing tools and libraries (NLTK, PyNPLI and OpenNLP); Computer Vision and image processing; and deep learning models in Python using Keras and Tensorflow.
Remote work from home within the same Metropolitan Statistical Area is allowed up to 50% of time (must live in Denver metro area). Must be at least 50% in office.
