Transports hot and cold food, small wares and any supplies in vehicles to offsite locations. Assists in serving food and clean up after meal periods.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transports food, supplies and equipment via vehicle to other locations or areas within the Hospital for catering functions.
Assists in the serving of hot and cold food and handles such food according to strict procedures and departmental codes to avoid contamination.
Delivers patient food trucks to specified units.
Maintains vehicles so they remain clean, sanitary and safe. Completes pre and post trip vehicle inspections for assigned shifts. Transports vehicle to and from maintenance when requested by management.
Reports all accidents and safety concerns to management in a timely manner. Reviews provided vehicle documentation to ensure it is present and valid.
Attends and participates in department meetings and in-services to promote continuous quality improvement for self and the department.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Licensure: CT Class 2 License with Passanger endorsement or CT Commercial Driver''s License (CDL). Class B with Passanger endorsement licencse required.
- Clean driving record for a 3-year period.
