Food Operations Manager 2

Role Overview

Sodexo is hiring a Food Operations Manager 2 for our partnership with Deer Creek Public Schools, located in Edmond, OK. Deer Creek is a fast-growing district and provides the opportunity to grow your career along with the district which will be opening multiple new schools in the upcoming years. This position will report directly to the District Manager and will oversee a team of approximately 50 employees. Day to day, this role will be responsible for serving the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program (NSLP and NSBP) and overseeing cafeteria operations at 10+ schools.

What You'll Do

• have oversight of day-to-day operations;
• ensure Sodexo and National School Lunch (NSLP)/USDA standards are met;
• provide employee training and development; 
• develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
• assist in the development and implementation of strategic/marketing plans; and
• create a positive working environment.

What You Bring

• work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively; 
• previous experience working within a K-12 environment;
• culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance; 
• ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service; 
• ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and/or
• valid driver's license required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Management Experience - 2 yearsMinimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
