Under the Health Coordinator's direction, the Food Pantry Coordinator oversees the food pantry operations, including but not limited to supervision and coordination of food pantry volunteers, restocking of food pantry items, cost and quality control, monthly statistics, and reports as required. General job duties include maintaining food pantry inventory, load and unload food items for the food pantry, trains, schedules, and provides daily supervision of food pantry volunteers. Assures that pounds of service are recorded in the organization's database. Updates and modifies food pantry menu as needed. Packs food pantry orders and stocks shelves as needed. Responsible for implementing food pantry policies and procedures. Food pantry management includes developing marketing and educational materials for the food pantry, including maintaining the food pantry page on the FBGNC website. Develop and implement processes for the intake and organization of food. Maintain food supply inventory and order as needed. Managerial duties include scheduling and training all new volunteers, maintaining a weekly schedule of all pantry volunteers and emailing a reminder notice of the schedule, conducting an initial familiarization visit with potential new volunteers, complete data entry tracking through the Efforts to Outcome system and full monthly reports related to food and client traffic. Food supply includes determining that sufficient prepackaged (client food bags) is available for upcoming pantry sessions, ensuring that all donated and purchased food is processed according to FBGNC requirements, ensuring that freezers are stocked with meat at all times. Administrative duties include attending required training for food pantry membership and safe food handling, maintaining recruitment plan to enlist additional volunteers needed to perform pantry tasks, overseeing and developing all food drive donations, performing a weekly inventory of available food and purchase items needed, cleaning refrigerators and freezers weekly.
