Programs include Early Childhood, After School, Camps, Athletic and Aquatic Activities, Older Adults & People with disabilities.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with Pantry DirectorComply with all requests and tasks as assigned by supervisorMaintain pantry inventory for daily distributionsEnsure that all boxes are preparedKeep the pantry, storage room, etc. clean and organizedTrain and motivate the staffComply with NYC and NYS food safety/food handling guidelinesAttend to morale and develop team‑building strategiesProvide support with other department initiativesQualificationsMust possess a high school diplomaExceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitaskMust be tech‑savvy and comfortable learning new computerized systemsMust be able to explain technology to those unfamiliar with the systemPrior food pantry experience is a mustKnowledge of the human services sectorAbility to work independently and as part of a teamMotivated with excellent interpersonal skills is a mustMust be punctual, conscientious, and dependableMust exercise good judgment, respectful of the confidential nature of client informationMust possess strong communication skills – ability to speak comfortably and courteously to a diverse cultural population with a professional, warm demeanorMust be flexible with a positive attitudeMust be able to bend and lift up to 25 lbsJob DetailsWork Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM; Tuesday 12:30 PM – 6:00 PM.
