Job Title: Food Preparation Team Member
Job Summary
The Food Preparation Team Member at Culver’s is responsible for preparing fresh, high-quality food items while maintaining Culver’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. This role supports kitchen operations by prepping ingredients, assembling menu items, and ensuring a fast, friendly dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare food items according to Culver’s recipes, portion standards, and quality guidelines
- Wash, cut, measure, and prep ingredients for daily kitchen operations
- Assist with cooking and assembling menu items such as ButterBurgers®, chicken, salads, and sides
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary food preparation area
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times
- Label, store, and rotate food products properly (FIFO)
- Properly put away truck deliveries in a timely manner, including rotating stock and storing products according to food safety guidelines
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with stocking, inventory, and restocking prep stations
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members
- Support team members during peak service times
- Provide friendly, respectful, and professional service consistent with Culver’s values
Qualifications
- No prior restaurant experience required (training provided)
- Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately
- Strong attention to detail and food quality
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, punctual, and positive attitude
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work in a warm kitchen environment
- Manual dexterity for food prep tasks
