Spherion Mid Ohio is excited to partner with a food processing manufacturing company in Sandusky, Ohio, seeking a Food Processing Machine Operator for their 1st shift.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and document production line settings.
Conduct metal checks and explain necessary actions for out-of-specification findings.
Load and set up baggers for operation.
Set up cartoners for the required production runs.
Perform hourly quality assurance checks.
Execute proper lock-out/tag-out procedures for each piece of equipment.
Set up and clean coders, weight checkers, glue machines, and tape machines.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with food processing equipment, including flow wrappers, vertical baggers, scale systems, metal detectors, check weighers, code daters, case erectors, case tapers, or carton machines.
Ability to operate, set up, and make repairs on all packaging machinery.
Mechanically inclined with experience in maintenance or machine operations.
Proficiency in troubleshooting machinery during production.
Highly motivated with the ability to follow instructions independently.
Excellent attendance record.
Strong mathematical skills.
