Food Production Associate

Pay Range: $14.20hr - $19.20hr

Job Overview:

• The candidate performs general manual labor tasks in a fast-paced environment preparing meat products to feed lines and preparing for the next stage of processing. This role involves utilizing tools and processes to package meat products within planned schedules while following all Food Safety requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Responsibilities:

• The candidate will effectively utilize tools, processes, and materials to process and package meat products within planned schedules.
• The candidate will perform various roles including activities such as product receiving and selection, packaging, sorting, re-boxing, marination, further processing, and facility sanitation while adhering to manufacturing requirements and safety regulations.
• Follow all Food Safety requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Assist with the cleanliness of the general work area.
• Label cases or pallets.
• Restack cases or pallets.
• Assist with a variety of additional functions and manual labor tasks as needed.
• Complete miscellaneous and other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

• The candidate will work continually in a refrigerated environment maintained between 35 F and 45 F.

Requirements:

• The candidate should have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. High School graduate or GED preferred with basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to work for periods of time in a freezer environment (-10 F to +10 F) with provided apparel.
• Availability to work overtime with or without notice; finish time is when work is completed.
• Experience in production, warehouse, food processing, manufacturing, food production, or food service warehouse environments is preferred.

Physical Requirements(Due to nature of job, The candidate must have):

• Ability to work continually in a refrigerated environment 35 F-45 F.
• Ability to work for periods of time in a freezer environment -10 F to +10 F.
