Description
AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic leader to fill the role of Food Production Manager, Full-time at PennWest California University Goldrush in California, PA. This position includes nights and weekends. Culinary background required.

Responsibilities:
Oversee large food production
All ordering, inventory, counting and procurement needs
Monitoring Jamix - pre and post production
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors
Maintain and strive to improve efficiency standards
Comply with SQF standards
Demonstrate a full understanding of culinary practices and hold production team members accountable for using proper portion control methods and techniques
Control food and labor cost
Requirements:
7 or more years of experience managing a food production and packaging facility
ServSafe Certification and HACCP understanding is a plus
Experience with R/D
FDA and State Inspection experience
Understanding of department production flows
Intermediate mechanical understanding of food production & packaging equipment is a plus
Excellent time management skills and ability to focus on details
A full understanding of weights and measures
Understanding of S.O.P., S.S.O.P, and G.M.P.
Ability to interact and work with all involved in the food safety inspection process
