A bit about us:

A growing, established food manufacturer is seeking a hands on Production Manager to lead operations across multiple high volume production areas. This is a newly created leadership position reporting directly to the Plant Manager and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by improving processes, developing leaders, and driving operational excellence.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the production floor, coaching supervisors, implementing new processes, and creating structure in a fast paced food manufacturing environment.

Job Details

What You'll Be Doing

Lead daily production operations across the pizza production room and prep kitchen.
Provide leadership for approximately 210 production employees across two shifts (130 on 1st shift and 80 on 2nd shift).
Direct and develop a leadership team consisting of 7 Production Supervisors, 4 Team Leads, along with QA and QC personnel.
Drive process improvements and implement new manufacturing processes over the next 6 to 12 months.
Develop, implement, and improve SOPs to increase consistency, efficiency, quality, and safety.
Coach and mentor supervisors daily with a strong emphasis on leadership development and accountability.
Partner closely with Maintenance, QA, Procurement, Shipping, R&D, and other departments to ensure production goals are achieved.
Analyze production, labor, quality, and inventory metrics while identifying opportunities to improve productivity and reduce waste.
Oversee scheduling, purchasing coordination, staffing, and production planning.
Maintain compliance with USDA, FDA, GMP, food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
Support capital projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational audits.

What We're Looking For

8+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably within food or beverage manufacturing.
10+ years of leadership experience managing large production teams.
Proven experience implementing process improvements and standardizing manufacturing operations.
Strong coaching and leadership skills with the ability to develop supervisors and build accountability.
Experience creating and improving SOPs.
Strong understanding of production scheduling, labor management, budgeting, and cost control.
Experience working cross functionally with QA, Maintenance, Shipping, Purchasing, and other departments.
Bilingual English and Spanish is required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
