Join Our Quality Lab in Bridgeton, MO
We’re hiring an experienced Quality Lab professional to help ensure the safety and consistency of our food ingredients and finished products. This role is based in Bridgeton, MO and works Monday–Friday on 2nd Shift. Compensation is $20.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Note: This is not an entry-level position. Prior laboratory experience within the food, beverage, ingredient, or related manufacturing environment is required.
A Day in the Life
As 2nd shift begins, you’ll verify instrument readiness—calibrating and cleaning lab equipment—then line up samples from raw materials, in-process batches, and finished goods. Throughout the shift, you’ll conduct analytical testing such as pH, viscosity, moisture, and related quality measurements. You’ll carefully document findings, ensure products meet customer specifications and food safety standards, and immediately communicate any deviations.
You’ll collaborate closely with Production and Quality teams to troubleshoot quality concerns, contribute to investigations, support corrective actions, and participate in continuous improvement efforts. Every step follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation protocols, and safety regulations to maintain a clean, team-oriented environment.
What You’ll Do
- Perform routine quality testing on raw, in-process, and finished products
- Run analytical tests (pH, viscosity, moisture, and other key quality metrics)
- Collect, prepare, and label samples for analysis
- Record results accurately and maintain complete lab documentation
- Verify compliance with customer specifications and food safety requirements
- Identify and escalate quality issues or product deviations
- Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments
- Adhere to GMPs, sanitation procedures, and safety rules
- Assist with investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement
- Partner with Production and Quality to drive consistent product quality
What You Bring
- Hands-on lab experience in a food, beverage, ingredient, or related manufacturing setting
- Proven ability to perform lab tests and document results accurately
- Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and quality assurance best practices
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Comfort using computers for data entry and recordkeeping
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- High school diploma or GED required; additional science/lab coursework is a plus
