The FOOD RUNNER will contribute to the mission and success of RBC by personalizing and providing outstanding guest service by coordinating, delivering, and presenting quality food in a timely manner. By providing efficient assistance to servers, cooks, bartenders, to the guests of the restaurant, this position is integral to ensuring a positive face for the kitchen staff and overall restaurant impression. The FOOD RUNNER inspects the dishes for visual appeal and ensure that food is prepared and served consistent with restaurant requirements in a timely fashion. The FOOD RUNNER serve as are the link between the kitchen and the dining room and bar ensuring prompt and courteous service to all guests. The FOOD RUNNER may set tables and other functions to support efficient service. Service provided is consistently professional, friendly, and helpful.
Knowledge and understanding of kitchen systems and flow of service.
o Set-up and break down work stations and tables.
o Review order before delivery to ensure accuracy.
o Transport food orders from the kitchen to the customer tables.
o Ability to move throughout the dining room with poise.
Maintain cleanliness of restaurant and kitchen areas.
o Ensure food storage areas are clean.
o Wash and disinfect work areas, tables, utensils, kitchen, and equipment.
Communicate assistance needed during busy periods to Manager to ensure optimum service to guests.
o Ensure the quality of the food items and notify manager if a product does not meet specifications.
o Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, daily specials.
Other duties may be assigned.
Follow and maintain the Restaurant image guidelines to communicate the RBC style message to the guests and the general public.
