About the Position

The food runner is responsible for delivering food to guests efficiently and accurately while maintaining a strong understanding of the menu. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to move quickly in a high-volume environment, and a commitment to teamwork. The ideal candidate is highly organized, professional, and capable of anticipating guest needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver food from the kitchen to guests in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure that all dishes are presented according to restaurant standards.
• Communicate effectively between the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Assist servers by clearing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting overall service flow.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and modifications.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure food handling compliance.
• Work closely with the expeditor and kitchen team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience as a food runner or in a similar fast-paced role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy trays safely.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.
• A sense of urgency and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• California Food Handler’s Card required.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
