Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist customers in selecting ice cream flavors, toppings, and other menu items.
- Offer recommendations and answer any questions about menu options.
- Ensure prompt and efficient service while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Food Preparation and Serving:
- Prepare ice cream cones, cups, sundaes, milkshakes, and other menu items according to customer preferences.
- Handle and serve food items with care, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Maintain proper portion control and adhere to food safety guidelines at all times.
- Keep serving areas clean and organized, including topping stations and condiment areas.
- Cash Handling and Transactions:
- Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Process payments, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.
- Provide customers with receipts and process refunds or exchanges when necessary.
- Balance cash register at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies to management.
- Store Maintenance:
- Clean and sanitize serving utensils, equipment, and surfaces regularly to ensure food safety.
- Monitor inventory levels of ice cream, toppings, and supplies and notify management when items need to be restocked.
- Assist with restocking inventory and maintaining organization in storage areas.
- Follow proper cleaning procedures for closing duties, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down counters and tables.
Required Key Skills and Qualifications
