Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service:
    • Greet customers as they enter the store and provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
    • Assist customers in selecting ice cream flavors, toppings, and other menu items.
    • Offer recommendations and answer any questions about menu options.
    • Ensure prompt and efficient service while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Food Preparation and Serving:
    • Prepare ice cream cones, cups, sundaes, milkshakes, and other menu items according to customer preferences.
    • Handle and serve food items with care, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
    • Maintain proper portion control and adhere to food safety guidelines at all times.
    • Keep serving areas clean and organized, including topping stations and condiment areas.
  • Cash Handling and Transactions:
    • Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
    • Process payments, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.
    • Provide customers with receipts and process refunds or exchanges when necessary.
    • Balance cash register at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Store Maintenance:
    • Clean and sanitize serving utensils, equipment, and surfaces regularly to ensure food safety.
    • Monitor inventory levels of ice cream, toppings, and supplies and notify management when items need to be restocked.
    • Assist with restocking inventory and maintaining organization in storage areas.
    • Follow proper cleaning procedures for closing duties, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down counters and tables.


Required Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service or food service role is preferred, but not required.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and move quickly between tasks.
  • Manual dexterity to handle serving utensils and operate a cash register.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Stamina to work in a fast-paced environment for extended shifts.
