Primary Objective of Dining RoomServer Position

To provide quality service to hotel restaurant guests by providing prompt, courteous and knowledgeable food and beverage service. 

Responsibilities 

• Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warmmanner.
• Reviews menu with diners, suggesting dinner courses, appropriatewines, and answering questions regarding food and cocktail preparations.
• Enters orders accurately in POS and serves courses from kitchenand service bars.
• Garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving.
• Observes diners to fulfill any additional request and to perceivewhen meal has been completed.
• Presents bill and processes payment
• Replenishes supplies and prepares for the next meal.

Physical Demands & Work Environment 

While performing theduties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; usehands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear andtaste or smell.  The employee isfrequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl andmust frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must also beable to go up and down a flight of stairs while carrying up to 25 pounds. Theemployee may be frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.  The noise is usually moderate to loud.
