Base pay range18.00/hr - 20.00/hrWesley Palms Retirement Community is Hiring!PositionFood Server — Part-Time; 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., mixed days with weekend availabilitySummaryUnder the supervision of the Dining Room Manager, a Server interacts with residents and employees of Front Porch residential facilities, and ensures they have a great experience when dining. Servers are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to our guests' needs and make them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed. Servers are expected to have some basic food knowledge by performing the following duties:ResponsibilitiesFood Service ServerProvide quality customer service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction.Prepare tables, lay out napkins and utensils, refill condiments, and perform other preparation tasks.Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and deviations; know if the kitchen staff is running out of items.Direct guests to their tables, present menus, suggest dishes, assist in drink selection, inform guests about food preparation details, and communicate guest needs to the cooks.Maintain proper dining experience, deliver items, fulfill guest needs, offer desserts and drinks, remove courses, replenish utensils, and refill glasses.Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.Fill in for absent staff as needed.Assist with special events as needed.Greet all guests warmly and professionally.Follow highest standards of cleanliness and all applicable policies, health codes and guidelines in preparation and handling of food.Perform duties safely and efficiently; wear safety equipment as required; report safety hazards or accidents.Follow department safety standards and participate in campus-wide safety programs.Attend mandatory in-service meetings and comply with department and facility policies and procedures.Understand facility fire and disaster plans; follow procedures during drills and emergencies.CredentialsNonessential: ServSafe or Equivalent Certification requiredExperience / QualificationsPrevious experience in a food service setting preferredEqual Employment OpportunityFront Porch is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
