Food Service Assistant

Summary:
Food service assistants needed for dining hall facilities on campus at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. A variety of roles are available:

• Serving food to students
• Restocking serving lines with food prepared by cooks
• Plating and presenting food
• Assisting staff with food preparation
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout dining facility 
• Working in the dish room

These are temporary positions starting mid-August and will likely go through end of September, with a possible extension through October. Shift options vary, some facilities need help Monday through Sunday, but most are weekdays, within the 10 AM to 6 PM window. Hours cannot exceed 40 per week. Part-time shifts are available. Pay is $14 per hour. If you work a 4-hour shift or more, you get a free meal.

Qualifications:

Prior food service experience is a big plus but not required. Must be dependable and work safely as a team member.
