Southeast Texas HR is seeking a dependable Food Service Assistant to join our team in the hospital and healthcare industry. This is a temp to hire position at an area hospital. You will be working between the hours of 5:30am - 7:30 pm, and must be available to work weekends and holidays. Pay will be $13.80+ DOE.
As our Food Service Assistant your duties will include but not be limited to the following:
- Prepare food item quantities as assigned for the meal services.
- Set up station with correct signage for service to take food orders.
- Stock supplies in preparation of assigned meal periods.
- Accurately enter food order into the POS cash register system.
- Adhere to all food safety/sanitation policies.
- Clean workstation and maintain equipment.
- Assemble and deliver patient meals.
- Interact with patients to ensure their needs are met.
- Provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
To be considered for this position you MUST meet the following:
- Have at least 2 years of Food Service experience.
- Have at least 1 year of experience as a Cashier.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift/push/pull 30 pounds.
- Must be able to hear adequately and communicate verbally with customers.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays.
- Work between the hours of 5:30am-7:30pm.
- Must be able to obtain proof of your immunization records.
- Pass all pre-employment screening including background screen and drug tests.
