Reports To: Food Services Supervisor & Food Service Coordinator

Salary: $25.03 - $30.47/hour (6 steps)

About the Role:

We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Kitchen Production Manager to oversee daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and staff supervision at a school site. This position ensures that all meals meet USDA Child Nutrition standards while maintaining the highest levels of food quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train food service staff and student workers
  • Plan, prepare, and oversee production of USDA-compliant meals
  • Maintain inventory, ordering, and proper food storage per HACCP standards
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation compliance
  • Operate Point of Sale (POS) system and maintain production records
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and administrators

Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in institutional or commercial food service (school experience preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of large-scale food preparation, HACCP, and USDA Child Nutrition programs
  • Food Safety Manager Certification (or ability to obtain by end of probationary period)
