Marshall Public Schools is seeking an individual to prepare, cook and serve food along with cleaning up the work area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in ordering and menu changes along with the Food Service Director
- Assist with the daily operations if the Food Service Director is not available
- Maintain food service logs
- Assign tasks to other food service employees as needed
- Administer Point of Sale (POS) operations
- Potential handling of cash
- Communicate changes to other food service employees and building assistants
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of units of measurements
- Good understanding of ingredients, recipes, kitchen safety and hygiene
- Self-motivated with a high energy level
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Team player
- Ability to follow directions
- Comfortable working with knives
