Full-Time: 80 hours per 2 week pay period

Available Shifts: Days of the week may vary however this position enjoy every other weekend and every other holiday off!

Cook Assistant/Lead Server

Eagle Crest Communities is seeking a leader to join our food service team at Cass Street Assisted Living. This leader will work to ensure we are providing a high-quality dining experience for residents by coordinating meal service needs with Eagle Crest South. This leader will perform some basic food prep on site, serve meals, and lead our on-site food service team in serving attractive and nutritious meals.  

What You’ll Do

• Foster a positive, social dining experience that brings residents together and supports a sense of community.
• Assist in creating meals that nourish the body and lift the spirit, ensuring residents’ dietary needs are met while making mealtimes one highlight of their day.
• Duties include quantity food prep, dish room and cleaning duties, serving resident’s meals, restocking and other kitchen responsibilities.
• Responsible for the daily preparation of fresh-made recipes such as salads, sandwiches and other ala carte meal choices, as well as stocking items as needed
• Preparing supplies for cooking line and restocking diminished stock as needed, assist with baking and preparing desserts

What You’ll Need

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to multitask is a must
• Comfortability working in a fast-paced environment
• Quantity cooking experience, a plus but not required (up to 46 residents)
• One year of food service experience in a long-term care, hospital, or restaurant setting preferred but not required; We will train the right fit for our team!
• This position will transport meals. Drivers require a valid driver license and must have and maintain a safe driving record.
• Kitchen/food safety certification such as ServSafe or ability to gain within first 90 days.

Our Wages

• FT Starting Rate: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications.
• We pay for high performance! We will review your wage at 100 days.
