Job Summary:
The School Food Service Server/Prep Worker assists in preparing, serving, and maintaining quality meals for students and staff in a safe, clean, and efficient school cafeteria environment. This position supports daily food preparation, meal service, sanitation, and customer service activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Wash, cut, portion, and assemble ingredients for meal preparation
Set up serving lines and food stations before meal service.
Serve meals to students and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
Maintain proper food temperatures and ensure food quality standards are met.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, work areas, and dining spaces.
Wash dishes, trays, pots, and pans.
Stock food, supplies, and serving areas as needed.
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries.
Support inventory control and minimize food waste.
Work cooperatively with food service staff, school personnel, and students.
