Food Service Specialist I

Job Summary:

Assists the Food Service Manager and Food Service II workers in preparation of food in the kitchen at one of four facilities across South Carolina. Performs routine duties in the kitchen environment.

Job Duties:

40% - Cook:
Prepares food as instructed and within DHEC standards. Weighs, blends and mixes ingredients according to directions. Cuts, slices, chops food.

40% - Clean:
Prepares dishes to run through commercial grade dishwasher. Hand washes pots and pans. Cleans and stores kitchen equipment after use.

20% - Storage:
Maintains food storage within DHEC guidelines. All other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager.

Minimum Requirements:

There are no minimum training and experience requirements for this class.

Expected Hourly Pay is $12 - $13

This position is located at either:

Camp Bob Cooper, Summerton, SC or

Camp Long, Aiken, SC
