Job Description
Main Kitchen
Students working in the Main Kitchen help support daily meal service by:
- Monitoring serving lines and communicating with cooks about food levels and product needs
- Serving food to customers in a friendly and timely manner
- Restocking stations throughout the shift
- Assisting with station cleanup, dishwashing, and general kitchen cleaning
- Following food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assisting with basic food preparation as directed
Available Shifts:
- 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
- 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Cougar Market
Students working in the Cougar Market help provide quality customer service through:
- Preparing and completing customer orders
- Operating the point-of-sale system for meal plan swipes and credit card transactions
- Assisting with minor food preparation
- Restocking products and maintaining a clean work area
- Completing station cleanup and dishwashing as needed
- Communicating with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations
Available Shifts:
- 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- 6:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- No prior experience required; training is provided
