A high level of support for the educational program is evident in the level of community-based financial support as well as donations of time and effort.Our Schools Ripon Unified is made up of five elementary schools one high school and one continuation high school. Approximately 2288 elementary students are divided between the five elementary schools in grades TK through 8. Combined the two high schools have approximately 1067 students in grades 9 through 12.Our Staff Certificated Staff includes 150 teachers and itinerants serving regular classroom instruction and special services. Support Staff includes 200 employees including aides bilingual liaisons secretaries custodians yard duties and more. Our leadership team consists of 18 administrators. Together we a have a strong sense of community and common goal of supporting our students.Job Description Essential Elements Print FOOD SERVICE WORKERJob Description Under supervision to assist in the preparation of school lunches to serve lunches at a main or subsidiary cafeteria to perform routine cleaning tasks in a school cafeteria and to do related work as required.Qualifications1. Knowledge Knowledge of basic food serving utensils sanitation principles applicable to food serving and kitchen maintenance.2. Ability Ability to follow written and verbal directions read and write English perform assigned tasks without close supervision.3. Experience Six months of paid or unpaid experience in food preparation and kitchen maintenance.4. Education Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.5. Possess valid California drivers license.Typical Duties1. Assists in the kitchen by helping prepare fruits vegetables sandwiches and other foods.2. Sets up and serves hot food sandwiches beverages and other foodstuffs at serving times.3. Assists in cleaning and storing cafeteria utensils equipment and food supplies.4. Washes trays pots and pans and cleans and sweeps kitchen areas.5. Performs routine cooking duties under supervision of manager.6. May be required to make change and keep appropriate financial records.7. Work in close proximity to children of all age groups.Physical RequirementsEmployees in this position must have the ability to1. Stand walk occasionally required to sit climb or balance and stoop kneel crouch or crawl.2. Use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls reach with hands and arms.3. Talk or hear.4.
